Made a change of plans or need to widen your event's scope? No problem. You can edit a Group Poll at any time — update the title, adjust time slots, or tweak poll settings. When you save your changes, anyone who has already voted will automatically receive an email letting them know the poll was updated and inviting them to participate again.
Step-by-step guide
In the left sidebar, click Group polls under My Doodles to open your list of polls.
Find the poll you want to edit. Click the ⋯ (more options) icon in the top-right corner of its card.
Click Edit poll. The poll editor opens in a side panel on the left, with your calendar visible on the right.
Make your changes. You can:
Update the poll title or description at the top of the panel
Edit an existing time slot by clicking the pencil icon next to it, adjusting the date and time, then clicking Save
Remove a time slot by clicking the × next to it
Add new time slots by clicking + Add a time and selecting from the calendar
Update Poll settings (voting deadline, timezone, video conferencing, location) by expanding that section
Adjust Advanced options (choices per voter, reminders) by expanding that section
When you're done making changes, click Save at the bottom of the panel.
Participants who had already voted will receive an email notifying them of the changes and prompting them to vote again.
Re-inviting participants
After saving your edits, you can also re-share the poll to reach new participants or remind people who haven't voted yet.
On the Group polls page, click the share icon (the arrow pointing up and to the right) on your poll card.
Choose how you'd like to share:
Email invitation — send a direct email invite
Add link to your website — get an embed link
Share via LinkedIn — you'll be redirected to LinkedIn
Share via WhatsApp — you'll be redirected to WhatsApp
Tips
You can edit a Group Poll even after participants have already voted — their previous responses remain visible, but they'll be prompted to re-vote after your changes.
To edit a specific time slot's date or time, click the pencil icon next to it. A small inline editor will appear — update the values and click Save to confirm that individual slot.
If you need to start fresh, use Duplicate poll from the ⋯ menu to create a copy of the poll instead of editing the original.
