How do I use multiple durations with Group Poll?

Propose meeting times with different durations with Group Poll.

Written by Kimberly Ford

Group Poll users can propose meeting options with different durations from the same poll.

Before you start

Double check your global time preferences in your account settings to set your default durations and hours.

How to set multiple durations

Proposing meeting times with different durations can be done from either the ‘Proposed Times’ section or ‘Week’ view of your group poll creation screen.

Proposed times option:

  1. In the Proposed times section, click + Add time.

  2. Set the start time and end time for your first option. The gap between them is the duration of that slot. For example, setting 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM creates a 90 minute option.

  3. Click Add to save the slot. It appears in your Proposed times list and on the calendar grid.

  4. Click + Add time again to add another option of any duration.

  5. To adjust a time, click the pencil icon next to it in the Proposed times list to reopen the time picker.

Calendar option:

  1. You can also click and drag directly on the calendar grid to place a new slot on a different day or time.

  2. Each slot's start and end time is independent, so click again to add another. To adjust a slot's duration after adding it, drag the top or bottom edge of its block on the calendar grid.

Good to know:

  • Group poll organizers can only pick one final meeting option, not one of each duration

  • The 'Custom' duration selection is limited to a range of 1 minute to 24 hours, and events cannot span two or more calendar dates.
