Meetings don't always go to plan - someone runs late, priorities shift, or a sync turns out to be better handled over email. Hunting through menus to make a quick change wastes time and breaks your flow. Quick actions put the most common meeting tasks one click away, right on the meeting card itself, so you can adapt on the fly and keep your day moving.

Where to find instant actions

Instant actions appear below a meeting's details when you view it in the 'day view' of your Doodle calendar. Look for the row of icons at the bottom of the meeting card. Hovering over each icon shows a tooltip describing what it does.

Available quick actions

Here's what each icon does:

Running late

Notifies participants that you're running late to the meeting. Click the clock icon to send a quick heads-up.

Clear my Day

Cancel or decline one or all of your meetings for the day. You can choose to act on 'this event only', or switch to 'all events' to select from all meetings on your calendar for that day. Either way, you can add a message to participants before confirming.

Reschedule

Reschedule the meeting to a new time. Doodle shows suggested times based on participant availability, or you can pick a custom date and time yourself. Click 'confirm reschedule' to send the update.

Convert to Async

Cancel the meeting and send participants an asynchronous message instead. Select which participants to include, edit the pre-filled message, then click 'cancel meeting' and send.

Send Email

Send a quick email to meeting participants without leaving Doodle. Choose to message all participants, the organizer only, or select participants individually from the dropdown. Edit the message body, then click send email.

Add participants

Add new participants to the meeting directly from the Day View.

Follow-up

Create a follow-up meeting linked to the current one. Set a time slot (based on participant availability or a custom date and time), add a description, and click 'create meeting'.
